Face-Off Clinics

Saturday Olympic Sixes Pick-Up Lacrosse
Join the Edina Lacrosse Association on Saturdays for FREE Olympic Sixes Pick-Up Lacrosse! This fun, fast-paced program is open to players looking to get extra touches on the ball, improve their skills, and enjoy competitive, small-sided games in a relaxed environment.
Coaches will be on hand to direct and supervise.
What is Olympic Sixes?
Olympic Sixes is an exciting version of lacrosse featuring six players per team (including the goalie) on a smaller field with a faster pace and continuous action. Games are shorter, substitutions happen on the fly, and the format emphasizes speed, stick skills, quick decision-making, and teamwork. With fewer players on the field, everyone gets more opportunities to run, pass, catch, shoot, and play both offense and defense. Every player uses short sticks and must play both offense and defense.
Olympic Sixes was developed by World Lacrosse to help grow the sport globally and has quickly become one of the fastest-growing versions of the game.
Most exciting of all, Olympic Sixes will be the format used when lacrosse returns to the Summer Olympic Games at the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles—marking the sport's first Olympic appearance in over a century.
Whether you're new to the format or already love the fast-paced style, come out on Saturdays for a great opportunity to play, compete, and have fun with fellow ELA players. No pressure, no standings—just great lacrosse!
